Pixel Self-Portraits

I'm no closer to understanding this forum name now than I was when we first put it in. But what it's for is thankfully simple. If you've got the creative bug and you want to share fruits of your buggery (...uhm) then here is where it goes. Poetry, fiction, drawing, photography, wallpapers, videos ... if you want to share it, we want to see it.

Pixel Self-Portraits

Postby KerochanNoMiko » Sun Sep 25, 2005 5:52 pm

Someone gave me the link to this pixel doll maker, and ever since then it's been my biggest waste of time since I found the perpetual bubblewrap website. So, hey. If anyone else is as bored as I, make yourself a pixel-doll self portrait and post away. :D

Here's the best I could come up with:

The scary part about that site is how I have actually *seen* people wear more than half of the clothes they have there. o_o

This is as close to me as it gets I guess (and still letting it look good):

I've been looking for a dollmaker with that type of doll! Thank you! :D They have such pretty clothes and hair. *_*

Why, yes, that is a blue penguin by my feet. :P Now how did that get there?

Heh, I didn't even notice that they had blue penguins on that site. How lucky for you, Penguins. :D

Again, as close as I could get it within the constraints of the program. But I just HAD to play around with the backgrounds, too >D

Edited to add I did one for Chris too, after he said I couldn't...

I think it's pretty accurate, but he says it looks too girly...

And the Peek!

And the Snooglet!

Bah, mine suck. I made one and realized I couldn't find any clothes like what I'd wear that matched. The girl stuff scares me. All those pastels, all that pink... *whimpers*

So anyway, then I tried out the boy doll generator. I like my result slightly better, but unfortunately the torso doesn't quite line up with the legs so it looks weird.

Erka has no photo hosting that'll let you hotlink, so click away

Yeah, I'm echoing the rest when I say that this is only the best I can do with the tools available. Seriously, I'd say 99% of the clothes were way too trendy to honestly represent my self. I do have shoes like that, though. ^^

Me too, that's why I used boy clothes. :D

Yeah, I kind of got that impression too. Even with the boy generator, it seemed more like the clothes were things that girls would like for boys to wear rather than things that actual boys would wear. Maybe that's why none of the guys have jumped into this thread. >_>

Most likely. I had a tough time finding a shirt to wear, since most of them were not anything like what I would wear. I should try to make myself on the guy one..

The doll maker was most likely made by girls, so it's no wonder that a lot of the styles are girly. ^_^;
