I played the demo this weekend at a friend's place. A very interesting way of handling a sRPG. I've found that the whole genre has stagnated a lot and simply follows what's come before it a bit too much. While I enjoy Nipon Ichi's goal of providing sRPGs on a fairly frequent basis, I also think they have done nothing to push the genre forward at all and instead keep tacking on more complex mechanics.
Maybe I'm being a little crotchety (I AM 28 now so perhaps I'm getting old?

) but to me, Final Fantasy Tactics on the PS1 still remains the most interesting and well balanced sRPG I've played. And why are there no X-Com, Jagged Alliance or Syndicate styles sRPGs either?
Anywho, back on topic. I found the game to be quite interesting although the "Batman Word Actions (tm)" seemed a little out of place with the beautiful painterly graphics. Although I don't think I'll own a PS3, if I did, I'd most certainly pick this game up.
