There was the "fifty-four (54) days" threat concerning Bully. But, more recently, JT blamed Bill Gates for the Virginia Tech shootings as well, with Counterstrike as the scapegoat-of-the-day.
The man is completely, dangerously insane.
Indeed. I guess Jack's not taking the "Not Being Allowed to Sue TakeTwo" very well so had to pick up the next random company.
I finally know what needs to happen for me to want to see Microsoft win a court case tho.
As quoted from the news story in question:
Here’s the deal, Mr. Gates: Either Microsoft undertakes dramatic, real steps, through its marketing, wholesale, and retail operations to assure that Halo 3 is not sold, via the Internet and in stores, directly to anyone under 17, or I shall proceed to make sure that Microsoft is held to that standard by appropriate legal means. I have done that before successfully as to Best Buy, and I shall do so again as to Microsoft and all retailers of Halo 3.
With this alone, M$ has nothing to fear. They will NOT be selling DIRECTLY to anyone 17 or under. They ship to wholesalers and retailer types, not kids.
Additionally Best Buy is a distributor/department type store. Microsoft isn't. Best Buy in this kind of case are the people that are suppose to enforce the ratings. M$'s liability ended by adding the "M" rating, which is essentially them telling the stores what needs to be done with it.
