What passes for humour in my family's eyes.

Greetings, and welcome to my very own den o' ill repute and forum for my own misbegotten and unsolicted opinions. Let's be frank about it - I adore foisting my thoughts and viewpoints on others. It gives me a misplaced sense of superiority which, sadly, one could use when they're me. Besides which, I've found that the more episodes I watch, particularly in this most recent of seasons, that I, by the gods, have something to say! Now I can but hope that what I have to say is, at the very least, enjoyable for others to read. Not that I'll likely stop, since my best friend, the Gabrielle to my Xena, would go to town on my ass for not utilizing more of her painstakingly crafted web graphics. Think of using the scrolls for something beyond their intended purpose. You catch my drift. But at any rate, it'd be nice to not think that I'm talking to myself. My therapist said that she'd cancel my weekend leaves if I kept doing that.

Now then, the reason you're here (assuming you're not just visiting the page because I threatened you, in which case, your pets will be returned to you in due time) is to partake of my own special Jet Wolf brand of reviewing. It is therefore a good idea to let you know which episode reviews you can expect and when, not to mention my own Xena history. I am a relatively new Xena fan. I caught snippits of episodes here and there for a while and was interested, but the affiliates in my region are about as unreliable as my memory, so when both of them teamed up, I had the proverbial snowball's chance in Tartarus of catching it with any regularity. And then my shift at work changed to one even later at night, and around 2am, I was desperate for something, ANYTHING without that sumptuous infomercial flavour. Well, I happened to stumble onto Xena that night, it sucked me in, and I've been here ever since.

As for my collection, I was fortunate enough to discover the treasure trove of USA reruns, and recorded them religiously, until the foul demon known as Bay Watch crept up from the murky bowels of television hell. Since then, I've been reduced to Sundays (and is it just me, or do they seem to keep showing the same six episodes or so?) and the new episodes from our perpetually behind Fox station (yes, that's right. I am always a week behind the rest of the country. Whee!) Of course, now that Sci-Fi seems to be showering Tuesday nights in a refreshing Xena goodness, I predict much filling of holes.

So how often will episodes be reviewed? I hope to have new episodes ("new" being operative, of course. Remember my Fox's inability to keep up with the modern world) written and posted within a week. Others will be filled in as time permits. I'm a gross procrastinator, so the gods only know when I'll actually get around to doing it all, but hey. Even this pathetic excuse of a web page is more than I've BEEN doing, so who knows?

In a splash of Late Night inspiration, you'll find that some, if not most, episode reviews (when they get posted) have a little something extra tacked onto the end. My fiance, Mike and previously mentioned best friend Amy, you see, would ALSO like to contribute reviews, but they're both far too lazy and nowhere near a anal as my own charming self, so they're going to give you a condensed version of what they thought. The graphics are adorable and the content quite amusing, so if you waded through the mountain of my drivel, your brain will thank you for looking on the lighter side.
