Jet Wolf's Top 100
Most Memorable Sailor Moon Moments
Numbers 81 to 90

90. Sailor Teleport [JP]
Episode #45

While I still think the Senshi should use this for trips to Aruba and despite the fact that every time
they teleport something bad happens, I adore this sequence. Cool animation, cool music, and property damage, what else do you need?

83. Usagi meets Luna [JP]
Episode #1

Ahh yes, Sailor Moon, the simple story of a girl and her cat.
What list of Sailor Moon Moments would be complete without a nod to the event that started it all?

88. Wiseman Revealed [JP]
Episode #88 [SMR 42]

Wicked cool skull with a Black Moon symbol engraved on it under the cloak. This one frame that can really lead you to develop lots of strange and bizarre theories on the origin of the Black Moon Family.
Hmmm. I smell a fanfic ...

87. Flashbacks to Crystal Tokyo [JP]
Starting with Episode #73 [SMR #27]

There's something I like about Crystal Tokyo and the Senshi of the future. I like thinking about them, I like fanfics set there, and I definately like seeing it. Is it comforting to see that our girls are still alive and kicking (and fantastically well-presevered for their ages)? Or to see that their friendship can last through over 1000 years of being together? Who knows?

86. The Senshi vs. the Snow Dancers [JP]
The S Movie

I'm strange, what can I say, I enjoy seeing the Senshi being their stock footage attacks and then not getting the chance to finish them. But it's not just that. I also happen to really like the animation sequence as a whole, but particularly when you see Ami getting trashed as the shot swoops into Mako trying to fend them off. <shrug> Hey, they're my most memorable moments, okay?

85. Minako plugging Sailor V stuff [JP]
Episode #100 [SMS 11]

Yet another fantastic Minako moment. Even now I'm laughing, and I think this scene always will make me laugh, even if only for Mako-chan lamely trying to get enthused.

84. First appearance of Esmeraude [JP]
Episode #73 [SMR 27]

I heard that laugh and suddenly found myself a new favourite villain since the death of DiC's Zoicite (and the fandub's Chronos ... grin) Perhaps I've gotten more attached to her now that I've been writing her dialogue, but I think I would've liked her anyway. The fact, is Esmeraude is a great villainess, even with a laugh that (almost) rivals Kodachi Kuno's.

83. Death Buster Twister [JP]
Episode #117 [SMS 28]

By the time this scene was finished, I had tears rolling down my cheeks. Mimet's chanting of, basically, "I think I can!", the seemingly leering Tomoe, the unenthusiastic farewell and then Tomoe deciding that he wants to play too ... It scenes like this that make the Death Busters so likeable -- they're just so silly when they're not being dangerous (and sometimes when they are).

82. Haruka and Uranus? [JP]
Episode #102 [SMS 13]

This was another of those episodes where I felt that the animation was simply horrid, but they need to be given credit for this scene. While going through a tunnel, Usagi glances over at Haruka, and is struck by the similaries between her and Uranus. The transition between the two images was so smooth and quick that it impressed me (although the consequence of this is that I feel as though Usagi had no right to look even remotely suprised when she discovered Uranus and Neptune's identities).

81. Little Hotaru [JP]
Episode #125 [SMS 36]

One word: Kawaii.
Kids should not be allowed to be this cute.
Especially not one that could destroy the world in a fit.
