Friday 13th July

First of all, apologies to all native Oregonians who noticed on the last map that I placed Beaverton, and indeed the greater Oregon area MUCH too far south. Umm...that was actually....DELIBERATE, yeah! People who don't know Oregon too well and worship Jet Wolf may try to seek her out and my map just helps put them off the scent (like they'd think to check some OTHER map ;p). Anyway.

Sorry also for the lack of updates. Unfortunately, due to the 17 hour time difference between Portland and Sydney, I couldn't ring Nikki until just this morning (it's Saturday here). I only got in about half an hour before Mrs Chenoweth announced dinner, but I got enough ;)

The apartment is a little smaller than the floor plan had led them to believe. The place is about the right size for a bunch of Berkeley's finest to attempt another record at fitting an entire dorm into a small space, but it's also very light and well-situated. One side faces the busy street, the other faces the interior of the complex, to provide entertainment for nosy, curtain-twitching neighbours.. It seems that the Chenoweths have passed down to them some very nice pieces of solid, semi-antique furniture, like a lovely ornate bedhead, a futon for the spare room..and Mr Chenoweth (kidding ^_^). They're living on dial-up internet and no cable (poor babies, the way they go on about it, you'd think they were living in a cave ;)), but I'm still envying them sick because the master BEDROOM has a phone jack and a cable outlet. So naturally, that's going to be Katchoo's room. You people are SO spoilt ;p

But seriously, they all sound really happy (Mike sounds ESPECIALLY happy with the setup of their new bed, dubbed the Sleep Cocoon of the Gods). I do believe some friends from a little further north are contemplating a quick visit some time tomorrow. Hi Steve, Hi Steph!
