The pristine Idaho snow rapidly gave way to more boring brown nothingness. Lots and lots of what I guess is farmland and what I guess is not an elaborate exercise setup for hamsters.

I ... don't know. I shrug. What else is there to do?

I don't know if it was or not, but I told myself that these mountains were my first glimpse of coming home.

This left no room for debate, however.
It's Oregon, yay!

Mmm, snow and trees. Two of my favourite things.

Here's another! This one goes choo!

It's just pretty. And came out amazingly well considering the speed.
(Still at under five over, even with Oregon's stupid-arse 65 mph law.)

My final rest stop for the trip. Mike made a funny about City of Heroes and the plaque that you can see across the road. But since only like two of you would get it, I won't repeat. Just laugh, and you'll get all the benefit with none of the confusion.

Behold, the final train picture. I'll miss enjoying your presence, train, rather than simply cursing your very existence when you get me stuck in traffic for 15 minutes.
