I Still Believe The premise behind this video is pretty straight forward: it's my tribute to the end of Sailor Moon, the show that helped show me that television didn't have to be so gosh darned fluffy all the time ... Quite an achievement, when you take the show's content at face value. This was my favourite video for quite some time. Everything about it just fell so neatly into place. Even if you're not a fan of the series, you may want to give this vid a try.

Footage: Mostly the last six episodes or so of Sailor Stars

Carry On
This was originally the second music video I ever made in the "modern" (read: post-high school) era. Back then, around 1996, I had two VCRs and a cheap audio mixer. When I made the great leap to computer video editing, this was one of only two that I redid. Despite the embarassment surrounding the music choice five years later, the video itself really isn't that bad. I think I'd be hard pressed to do better today, given the same song and footage.

Footage: The last couple eps of the first season of Sailor Moon
Music: "Carry On" from the North American Sailor Moon soundtrack
Featuring: Sailor Moon and the Inner Senshi
Completed: 22 January 1998
Length: 2:25

In the Air Tonight The idea and co-creative rights for this one go to Novareinna. This video is a character study of Sailor Saturn, revolving, not surprisingly, around the end of Sailor Moon S. The song itself is something of a first for me, in that the music is slow and lacking in the hard-driving beat that I normally use (at least until the end). I learned a lot from this video, mostly on how to better focus on the mood and atmosphere created by the music instead of fixating on lyrics (which I find now are often secondary).

Footage: Sailor Moon S, Sailor Stars
Music: "In the Air Tonight" by Phil Collins
Featuring: Sailor Saturn/Mistress Nine
Completed: 29 January 1998
Length: 5:33
