It's with great regret that I must remove all Buffy the Vampire Slayer music videos in compliance with a cease and desist notification from Fox. Creating music videos is a long-time passion of mine, and something that I use to express my love of and creativity for truly inspiring and remarkable works such as Buffy.

In a perfect world, corporate entities would see the benefits of sharing the love rather than feel threatened by a fans celebrating the very thing that makes them money in the first place. But alas, this is far from a perfect world.

The creative process can never truly die, but it's still a blow when it's stifled. Consequently, until times change, no future Buffy 4Paws videos will be available in the public arena. Please feel free to either join the mailing list or e-mail me for additional information.

Celebrating Our Groove Thang Updated with new version by request for Vividcon 2004's Club Vivid. Now with cleaner footage, snappier editing, and a few scene modifications.

"You can't keep making Buffy vids without one dedicated to the groove Scooby stylin's," I told myself the other night. Myself replied, "AHHH!! WHO ARE YOU?! STOP TORMENTING ME!!" Then after a pause, "What do you mean, a dancing vid? You've got, uhm, 'Once More, With Feeling', and ... 'Once More, With Feeling'..." "And hello, seven years worth of the Bronze?" Then the insane laughter became so high pitched that it escalated out of my range of hearing and I was able to consider the fact that this was a pretty good point. OMWF, of course, but then you also have The Dance of a Brave Little Toaster and The Snoopy Dance. And let's face it, The Dance of Capitalist Superiority deserves its own video. If, you know, it wasn't just seven seconds long. Even better, it would be (relatively) easily completed. Of course, that was what I thought before sitting down to weed through about 144 hours of television for dancing footage, but then I'm not really good at forethought sometimes. So sit back and enjoy the video that, for about two seconds, was called "White People Can't Dance".

Always Part Two of the Valentine's Day 2004 double header.

Willow and Tara. They have the proud distinction of being the singular bit of proof in this great big world that way deep down, past the multitude of bitter, cynical, crusty layers, I have a teeny tiny sliver of romanticism in me. Almost microscopic, but still, they somehow manage to bring it out of me. And it's pretty much embarassing, so I won't babble on about it -- suffice it to say, I love these two girls, and I think that affection is reflected in this video.

This is certainly not the most technologically challenging piece of work I've ever done, but then, Tara and Willow don't need special effects magic; they have plenty of their own.

Beware of the Season 6 spoilers.

American Cordy Part One of the Valentine's Day 2004 double header.

Xander and Cordelia, the couple that love to hate and hate to love. Was there ever a pair of individuals less made for each other? Ahh, but the fun times, and let us not forget the many, many amusing facial expressions -- all encapsulated here in a new gel-coated, easy to swallow video. Come partake of all the squabbles and smoochies.

Special thanks to Novareinna for pitching the video idea my way.

Pretty Good Year My first vid of the new year takes a step back and looks at the tumultuous lives the gang led in their senior year of high school. Ascensions, Flukes and Psycho Slayers, oh my! I think I did a pretty decent job of capturing the ups and downs of this season, and I have to say, it's was nice to have a video that actually included Cordy for more than about five frames. What did interest me on this one was the amount of fun I had with Faith. I actually had to work hard to not let her dominate the whole video, which likely means I have a Faith vid in my future at some point. But until then, partake of my current offering. All told, Season 3 was indeed a pretty good year.

Indescribable Moments For all the crap this video gave me, I'm extremely pleased with how it turned out. I sat down one afternoon, planning to work on my X-Men: Evolution video, but it just refused to flow for me. Then this idea came bouncing into my head like a fluffy lamb, and absolutely refused to go away until I completed it. Of course, it can't be that simple -- the two of us (my vid and I) disagreed on what we were trying to express every step of the way. I at first thought it would be episodic to "Chosen". Then when it became clear that the video had every intention of being a flashback bookended by the final ep, I planned to make it all my favourite moments. Sort of my Top 100 (or 700, whatever) to music. But no, the vid was adamant that it be The Core Four's reflections on their past seven years, so I finally relented. Loathe as I am to admit it, I think the video was right. Damn it. I hate it when my mind knows better than I do.

So that's what we have here. A look inside the minds of Buffy, Willow, Xander and Giles as they stand ready to fight the final battle.

Discordant I hadn't planned on making this video, but I'm coming to realize that I often don't when they demand to be made. This vid focuses on one of my favourite episodes, "Restless", and much like that episode itself, this is something of an experiment. This is the first instrumental video that I've completed, and in terms of the video's flow, it's a completely different attempt. I'm rather fond of it, and I think the video captures the mood of the episode very well.

Sisters in Pain Inspiration's a funny thing sometimes. I've heard this song a million times, but the other day I was listening to it and the idea for this video clicked instantly. Then it wouldn't leave me alone until it was created, so yay for us.

One of the most fascinating aspects of Season 6 to me is the parallel roads of self-destruction taken by Buffy and Willow. This vid is a look at the downward spiral of our girls throughout the season, and the impact they had on each other in going down to the bad place (one might even venture to say that they drug each other along for the ride, but that's a character study for another time).

As if the above weren't hint enough, this video containts massive Season 6 spoilers, along with pretty much every dark and disturbing scene to come out of a dark and disturbing season.

Just a Girl The motivation for this one is pretty simple: I wanted to pad out 4Paws after its relaunch. I have a slew of vid ideas, but pretty much every last one of them is rather broad in both scope and footage needs. Consequently, they need more time than the couple of hours this one took me to do. It'll never be remembered as my greatest work, but it was fun to make and hey: Vamp Willow. Who can say no to Vamp Willow, I ask you?

Willow: Descent and Salvation
Late one night, huddled around my monitor, the credits rolled on the final episode of Buffy's sixth season. I'd say I had been crying like a little girl for practically four episodes straight, but that would ruin my rep, so I will instead say that I was bothered. Something had to be done to help exorcise the intense pain I won't admit to feeling. This is the result. This video ranks up there as one of my favourites; I'm really pleased with how everything fit together so nicely. It's also the first video where I've actively used clips and transitions to create a mood, rather than just tell a story. Expect more like this in the future (as well as an update to this vid once all the seasons are released on DVD).

Warning: Massive Season Six spoilers.
